Antony McMullen

FGIA

Antony is a skilled co-operative developer, founder, and advocate committed to advancing social, cultural, and economic development for the common good. He is recognised by fellowships with RMIT FORWARD, the Governance Institute of Australia (formerly Chartered Company Secretaries), and the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). Moreover, he co-drafted the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM) Co-operative and Mutual Enterprise best-practice governance framework and has qualifications and certifications in social impact, community development, and co-operative leadership (he doesn’t always mention theology).
 
Antony provides community and economic development services to member-driven organisations enterprises in the social economy, promoting informed decision-making and self-reliance. His roles on various boards as co-founder, Secretary and Chair exhibit his practical knowledge of the co-operative business model firsthand. He manages The Bunya Fund and undertakes co-op development at the BCCM.
 
His ethos is to bring people together in good faith for the common good.

Clare Fountain

Clare is an award winning highly experienced and dedicated professional who has been instrumental in supporting member-owned, purpose-driven, and small business enterprises in building resilience and achieving sustainable success. With a holistic and methodical approach, Clare excels in complex situations by considering multiple influencing factors and developing clear, staged strategies to deliver agreed outcomes. She has contributed to national government-funded co-op development programs Farming Together and Co-operative Farming and is currently contributing to the Care Together program of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals.

Clare holds board positions in various organisations, including ARC Justice (community legal centres) and of course Co-operative Bonds.  With her extensive expertise and dedication to empowering businesses and communities, Clare continues to make a lasting impact and drive positive change.
Clare’s ethos is to get things sorted so good things actually happen. 

Paul Saeki

 

Paul Saeki brings leadership to cross-functional, emerging environments, creating value and driving innovation through collaborative engagement. As a project management specialist, he has worked across diverse industries, including Indigenous engagement, the food industry, cultural heritage, health sciences, international relations, and environmental sciences.
With extensive experience managing complex projects, Paul excels at bringing together stakeholders to identify, manage, and deliver valued outcomes. He thrives on breaking new ground and combining diverse ideas and perspectives to create innovative solutions and new directions.
Paul holds a Master of Applied Project Management, a Graduate Certificate in Data Science (University of South Australia), a Graduate Diploma in Law (University of Adelaide), and a Master of Education (Monash University).
Paul is a polymath with a social justice ethos – he is dedicated to creating meaningful impact through his work with diverse communities.

Robyn Donnelly

B.Comm., Ll.B. (UNSW), Ll.M. (King’s College, London)

Honorary Patron of Co-operative Bonds, brings a distinguished background as a former lawyer, academic, and advocate for the co-operative business model. A former lawyer and academic with a varied career as a solicitor and barrister until 2000 she turned to academia and then later worked as the Legal Manager and Legal Policy officer for the New South Wales Registry of Co-operatives & Associations. During her time with the Registrar she worked with other states and territories secure agreement on the final draft of the Co-operatives National Law which was passed as a template by the NSW Parliament in May 2012, the International Year of Co-operatives.

After a short retirement in 2013, Robyn was a director and secretary for the Bathurst Wholefood Co-operative whilst undertaking specialist consulting work on legal and policy matters for the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals. Keen to promote the co-operative business model and help more groups to form co-operatives she led the team to develop the Co-op Builder, first for agricultural co-operatives and then for general co-ops. The Co-op Builder is the first online resource to help people draft the necessary documents to form a co-operative under Australian law.

Co-operatives’ access to capital is a subject of interest and to this end Robyn authored the Community Investment Handbook for co-operatives to provide basic information about capital raising for co-ops and through her adjunct position with Charles Sturt University’s law school co-authored Australia’s first undergraduate subject on corporate law that includes co-operatives. Robyn maintains a strong interest in policy advocacy, focusing on addressing anti-competitive barriers for co-ops and easing the regulatory burden surrounding fundraising.

Yolanda

Yolanda van Gellecum

 

Yolanda van Gellecum, BA (Psych), MSocSc (Applied Research): based in Queensland, is an independent social researcher and certified sociocracy facilitator, currently advancing her training to become a sociocracy trainer and consultant. Sociocracy is a governance system that structurally distributes power and enables equality in organisational decision-making. As a passionate advocate for the solidarity economy, she has completed a six-day immersion and other training as part of her community organising efforts with the Queensland Community Alliance, where she volunteered from 2020 to 2023 to improve local employment outcomes. Since 2022, she has also served as the lead conference coordinator for the annual women and youth conferences of the Congolese refugee community in Logan City, Queensland.
