Straight from our Co-operative Rules our Purpose is facilitating the growth and development of the co-operative and social economy by:
- Providing a hub for educators, experts, planners, and advisers to deliver services that foster and support the creation and growth of co-operatives, mutuals and other member-owned enterprises
- Establishing trusts to hold assets that are of enduring benefit to the co-operative and social economy sector
- Providing mutually beneficial support to 888 Co-operative Causeway

888 Co-operative Causeway provides a co-working space in the Causeway Building in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.
Formed in 2018, it is the only co-operative co-working space in Melbourne and provides a home and supportive network for all small businesses and organisations that embody a co-operative spirit.
Member benefits include access to the co-working space, the Kelvin Club, registered address service, free attendance at co-op events and free access to the co-op podcast.
Current members include the BCCM, Co-operative Bonds and the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board (Vic).
